Gerard Moran

Gerard Moran joined the Board of Governors as Non-Executive Director in February 2025, bringing his experience of more than 30 years in the UK’s further and higher education system to bear on the Governors’ responsibilities for academic matters. Prior to retirement, he held senior positions in the university sector including as Dean of Faculty and Pro Vice Chancellor, and served as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of a specialist university up until recently.He holds degrees from the University of Reading and from the University of London from where he received his PhD in English Literature. He lives in Nottingham and is married with two sons.“I first worked alongside Oxford International in 2013 and went on to be the university lead in establishing DMUIC, the first of the pathway colleges.
