The decision to rebrand came about after it had become increasingly difficult to attend international language events under the ISIS banner. After being called ISIS since 1991 – taking its name from the part of the River Thames at Oxford that is called the ISIS – the new name of Oxford International Education Group was chosen to maintain the strong links with the city of Oxford.
