Oxford International’s UK Junior Programmes have been shortlisted for two industry awards, recognising excellence in educational experiences and student engagement.
Our UK Junior Programmes have been named a finalist in the Best Education Provider category at the 2026 British Youth Travel Awards, organised by the British Educational Travel Association (BETA). The recognition follows the shortlisting of our UK Juniors Spring Competitions at the 2026 Engage Awards, in the Best Use of Social & Community for Customer Engagement category.
Together, the nominations recognise our commitment to creating enriching educational experiences for young learners and building meaningful connections with students, families, schools and education partners around the world.
Recognising excellence in educational experiences
The British Youth Travel Awards celebrate excellence across the youth, student and educational travel sector. The Best Education Provider category recognises organisations delivering high-quality, engaging and meaningful educational experiences through travel.
Oxford International Junior Programmes combine English language learning with cultural immersion, excursions and collaborative activities, helping students develop language skills, confidence and international friendships.
Our programmes continue to evolve to meet the needs of young learners, through our high-quality and interactive curriculum developed in-house and driven by spontaneous language development and project-based learning focused on engaging, real-world topics, and informed by student and teacher feedback.
In 2026, three Oxford International UK English language schools also exceeded expectations in their Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Educational Oversight inspections, with teaching and learner achievement, student welfare, and leadership and management judged excellent.
Celebrating student engagement and international community
Our second shortlisting, at the Engage Awards, recognises the social media campaign supporting the 2026 Oxford International Spring Competitions.
The competitions brought together 507 students from 10 countries across three programmes: the Global Academic Championship, Global Business Championship and World Language Explorer, developed in collaboration with National Geographic Learning.
Through student-led content, interviews and real-time storytelling, the campaign connected students, families, schools and education partners before, during and after the programmes, allowing a wider international audience to share in the experience.
Delivered entirely organically, the campaign generated more than 520,000 views and 12,800 interactions, demonstrating the strength of the international community surrounding our Junior Programmes.
Gary Palmer, Managing Director, English Language UK at Oxford International, said:
“I am so proud of our team to receive these two nominations – it is a fitting acknowledgement of the dedication they show to providing the best experience to all of our students. Our success has been driven by innovation and quality and by our ambition to never stand still, listen to our partners and students about what matters most to young learners and reflect that in the programmes we deliver.”
Alex Korda, Chief Marketing Officer at Oxford International, added:
“Our Spring Competitions campaign demonstrates the value of authentic storytelling and genuine engagement. By putting students and their experiences at the centre, the team created a community that extended far beyond the programmes themselves. To see this work recognised by the Engage Awards is a fantastic achievement and one we’re very proud of.”
The two nominations reflect the dedication of our academic, operational and marketing teams in delivering high-quality learning experiences and building lasting connections with students and partners worldwide.
The winners of both awards will be announced in November 2026 in London.
