Oxford International has opened the doors to a new, larger home for its Oxford centre at 11–13 King Edward Street, supporting the continued growth of its English language and higher education provision in the city.

The move gives our students and teams significantly more space, while retaining a central location in one of the world’s best-known academic cities.

The new building was officially celebrated at an opening event on 2nd September 2026, bringing together students, colleagues, partners and members of the local community to tour the facilities and mark the beginning of the centre’s next chapter.

Growing with our students in the heart of Oxford

Oxford International has welcomed students to Oxford for many years, with our Oxford centre supporting students across English language education, juniors programmes and higher education.

As the scale and breadth of this provision has grown, a larger space was required to support the centre’s students and programmes. The move to King Edward Street provides a larger, modern learning environment with increased capacity for the future.

Located in the heart of Oxford, just moments from the city’s historic colleges, shops and cultural attractions, the new centre retains the benefits of a central location while providing more room for teaching, learning and student support.

For Oxford Centre Principal Clare Ahern, who has been with Oxford International for 17 years, the move represents a significant milestone:

“Having been part of Oxford International for 17 years, I have seen our Oxford centre grow and change enormously. Moving into King Edward Street feels like a really exciting next chapter for us. To finally have our programmes, students and teams together under one roof is something we have wanted for a long time, and I am incredibly proud of what we have created.”

Supporting students at different stages of their journey

Our Oxford centre welcomes students with a wide range of goals and at different stages of their education.

Its provision includes adult English language and seasonal junior programmes, alongside higher education programmes delivered through our UK multi-articulation centre.

The additional space at King Edward Street gives these established programmes more room to grow, while creating a shared international learning environment for students and colleagues.

It also provides a new permanent home within the centre for seasonal junior programmes, helping the Oxford team make better use of the building throughout the year and supporting the continued development of its provision.

Building on 35 years of excellence in international education

The opening comes during Oxford International’s 35th anniversary year, making the new centre a fitting milestone in our continued growth in Oxford.

Our history is deeply rooted in English language education, where Oxford International’s story began in 1991. Over the past 35 years, we have evolved into a global education platform supporting domestic and international students through a growing portfolio of owned establishments, education services and academic partnerships, operating across the entire student journey.
